CottagesGardens.com, a fast-growing design, home, and real estate website for the ultra-affluent, is looking for a Digital Web Assistant. Both a creative and technical role, you will be responsible for implementing and assisting Cottages & Gardens’ Digital Content Director with a variety of tasks to ensure the growth of the website and social platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, following an SEO calendar, daily article writing, creating online graphics for both newsletters, social media and/or the website, backend coding, daily newsletter management, ad uploading and reporting, and more. The candidate will have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends, including SEO, WordPress, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, etc. The Digital Web Assistant is a key member of the Digital team and will work directly alongside the Digital Content Director to ensure the growth of the website and social media platforms.

Qualifications (Required):

• 2-4 years of experience

• Knowledge of SEO and SEM

• Excellent organizational, writing, and copyediting skills

• Ability to attend company events and promote on CottagesGardens’ social media accounts

• Understanding of social media across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter)

• Ability to write multiple features every week

• Work with the Digital Content Director to grow email list

• Create email layouts in Mailchimp, proofread emails for clarity, grammar and spelling, and analyze campaign performance

• Upload and provide reporting for all digital ads 

• Work with the Digital Content Director to analyze and report on digital ads

• Knowledge of SEO best practices

• Knowledge of Google Analytics

• Maintain and update databases and include appropriate information from all departments

• Creates graphics, as needed, for CottagesGardens.com and social platforms

• Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, WordPress, Mailchimp, Photoshop, and knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Experience overseeing and tackling multiple projects at once

• Experience managing the production process from start to finish

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

• Ability to adhere to departmental processes and able to works in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment

• Goal driven and achievement oriented

• Strong verbal and written communication
