Connect with mom on Mother's Day in the CuisineArts kitchen
It’s not too early to start planning for Mother’s Day
(May 8, 2011). Although moms and teens sometimes get along like oil and water, here’s a gift idea that’s sure to bring them together. Who could resist spending time in the warmth of a beautiful kitchen, cooking (and then enjoying) an Italian feast? That’s the idea behind Cucinare–Cooking Together–A Mother’s Day Class for Moms and Teens held by CuisineArts in Mamaroneck, NY, on Saturday, May 7, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
And mom won’t be the only one receiving a gift this year: CuisineArts will donate 50 percent of the class proceeds to the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force. (Each mother/teen team will be asked to bring a box of pasta and a can of plum tomatoes to the class, which will be donated to the charity.)
Chef/Instructor Renée Cohen (who has a Master Culinary Degree from the French Culinary Institute and a Masters in Education) has captured the delicious flavors of Italy for the Mother’s Day class. Renee holds classes year-round in her own kitchen for groups of 8-10 people, who learn basic cooking techniques and experiment with new flavors and recipes. At the end of class, everyone sits down and eats the dishes they’ve made.
Classes cost $95 per person. For more on CuisineArts classes, visit: cuisineartsllc.com
