C&G Shop the Look: A Modernist Living Room
A modern Bernal Heights interior gets an exterior to match, thanks to renowned San Francisco architect Craig Steely.
When bi-coastal photographer Thayer Gowdy renovated her San Francisco home, she sought help from a good friend, who just happened to be renowned architect Craig Steely. Known for his cutting-edge, modernist structures, Steely found inspiration for transforming the 1908 Edwardian within combination of old and new. The home's interior is a mix of collected items from Gowdy's travels, including the rabbit and feather wall hanging brought back from a powwow in New Hampshire, and statement pieces with strong lines and natural textures. Here, a collection of home furnishings inspired by the home's modernist vibe.
