Ressource Engages with the New York City Design Community in a Variety of Events
Exciting news from Ressource, a pioneering brand of high-end decorative paints, who has been participating in several events with the New York City design community. This includes events at the Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse, WantedDesign Manhattan, the Spring Market at the D&D Building, and an exhibit at the Le Corbusier and His Associates at the Magen H. Gallery. Read on to learn more about each of these engaging experiences utilizing Ressource's high quality paints.
For WantedDesign Manhattan, Ressource will be exhibiting with a LIVE painting demonstration by renowned French artist, Toma-L (Thomas Labarthe). His work has said to be reminiscent of Joan Miró, Jean Dubuffet or Jean-Michel Basquiat and he will create a large-scale work especially for Ressource using the newly launched Yves Klein Blue paint together with the New York collection from Sarah Lavoine.
Spring Market at the D&D Building
Additionally, during Spring Market at the D&D Building, Ressource will open its showroom for an open house event on May 22nd from 2:00 – 4:00 pm where Julien Chapuis, CEO Ressource Americas, will guide guests in a demonstration of how to apply the Yves Klein Blue paint. It is a specialized technique that requires an undercoat, also developed and manufactured by Ressource, in order for the authentic true-blue color to show how it was originally intended by Klein.
After the demonstration, guests are welcome to paint with the color and there will be an interactive station set up for guests to “play” with the paint and create their own artwork. In addition, when guests enter on the 59th Street side of the building, they will see the Ressource display window designed entirely with Yves Klein Blue.
Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse
During the 47th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse, Ressource provided paint for one of the 22 rooms. Pappas Miron Design selected Ressource paint for the powder room, adorning the ceiling with a burnished lime paint in meringue (RMDV03) and chianti (RMDV51) colors; for the walls, a Roman plaster was applied with Étourneau (ER22) color. This incredible event benefits the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and is open to the public from May 2-30, 2019. More info and tickets can be found here.
Le Corbusier and His Associates at the Magen H. Gallery
At Le Corbusier and His Associates at the Magen H. Gallery, Ressource was chosen to provide paint to the exhibit “Le Corbusier and His Associates.” Open now to June 14th, 2019, the exhibit aims to create an engaging space where Le Corbusier’s progressive ideas on modern living and landscapes will begin to materialize through a showcase of over 40 pieces of his iconic furniture and interior designs.
