The Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse Returns this Fall to Benefit the Brooklyn Heights Association

Brooklyn Showhouse The Brooklyn Heights Association is happy to announce that the Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse will return to Brooklyn Heights this September. The Showhouse will capture the electricity and energy of Brooklyn in today’s design world by featuring more than 15 interior designers (see the complete list below) from Brooklyn and New York City’s innovative and celebrated design community.

In addition to the designers, we are also excited to feature the products of Walker Zanger, Forbes & Lomax, and Ressource, which will be adorned in some rooms of the house.

Ellen Hamilton and Erika Belsey Worth are the 2019 Showhouse Co-Chairs and Ellie Cullman is the Honorary Design Chair. New York Cottages & Gardens (NYC&G) is thrilled to be the Design Media Sponsor and Brownstoner is the Platinum Sponsor.

The Showhouse will take place in an architectural gem of Brooklyn Heights: a large, 1830’s wood-frame house on a delightful tree-lined street near the Promenade.

The Preview Party will be held on Thursday, September 26, and the Showhouse will be open to the public from Friday, September 27 through Sunday, November 3, 2019. The hours are Wednesdays through Sundays from 11:00am to 7:00pm, and Thursdays from 11:00am to 8:00pm. The Showhouse is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is $40 to the general public and $35 to BHA members.

Proceeds from the Showhouse will support the mission of the Brooklyn Heights Association, whose advocacy is critical to preserving Brooklyn Heights’ remarkable architecture. The Brooklyn Heights Association was instrumental in the creation of New York City’s first historic district, the building of the iconic Brooklyn Heights Promenade, and saving the waterfront for what is now the beloved Brooklyn Bridge Park.

As the community seeks alternatives to the City’s proposed temporary six-lane highway replacing the Promenade in order to facilitate the reconstruction of the BQE, the Brooklyn Heights Association’s advocacy is more critical than ever.
