Announcing Barbara Sallick as CTC&G 2015 IDA Innovator
Barbara Sallick co-founded Waterworks in 1978 with her husband, Robert, and serves as the company’s senior vice president of design. Using her education and lifelong interests in art and travel, Barbara employs formal principles of architecture and decoration to elevate the bath to a space that is as beautiful, personal and inviting as it is practical.
Acting as a company spokesperson, Barbara presents design and product lectures across the United States. In addition to writing a weekly blog, The Perfect Bath, Barbara is the author of two books: The Definitive Guide to Designing the Perfect Bath (2006) and Waterworks: Inventing Bath Style (2001).
Barbara serves on the Board of Directors at the Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America and is a trustee for Wheelock College, where she received her B.A., and was an associate, under Charles Montgomery, at the department of American Decorative Arts at Yale University Art Gallery.
Barbara has two adult sons (her son Peter is CEO of Waterworks) and five grandchildren; she lives in Connecticut with her husband, Robert, and their dog, Lulu.
