Meet the 2014 NYC&G Innovation in Design Awards Winners
The rooms and gardens are ready for their close-ups, doors and windows wide open for everyone to see. The winners of the second annual NYC&G Innovation in Design Awards were announced on September 17 at a ceremony held at the Harvard Club in New York City. Judged by an illustrious panel—interior designers Kerry Delrose, Elaine Griffin, Alexa Hampton, Amy Lau, and Bunny Williams, antiques dealer Liz O’Brien, and Ralph Pucci creative director Ken Smart—the best design projects in the New York region were recognized in the categories of interior design, architecture, garden design, kitchen design, and bath design. NYC&G also honored decorator Mario Buatta with the 2014 Innovator Award and bestowed trophies for innovative product design, a category judged by the magazine’s editorial staff. As all these outstanding entries prove, New York remains the nexus for original, groundbreaking design in America.
