Sting’s 15 Central Park West Penthouse Finds a Buyer for $50M
As the former lead singer of The Police and a 16-time Grammy winner, it’s an understatement to say Sting is legendary in the music world. Now, with the reported $50 million sale of the 15 Central Park West penthouse he and wife Trudie Styler have shared since 2008, the music icon is making a name for himself in the real estate world as well.
Earlier this year, dailyDeeds reported that the couple listed their duplex penthouse for $56 million. According to Page Six, the property in the Robert A. M. Stern-designed building is schedule to close for $6 million less than asking sometime next year.
Despite the difference, the couple, who purchased the luxe condo for $27 million, still stand to make an impressive profit. And it looks like duo aren’t skipping a beat.
They reportedly already have plans to move into Robert A.M. Stern’s new building at 220 Central Park South.
The couple's three-bedroom duplex penthouse at 15 Central Park West spans 5,500 square feet and boasts a 400-square-foot terrace. Designer Lee Mindel custom-designed the interiors of the three-bedroom home.
Deborah Kern of Corcoran was the agent on the listing.
