A Closer Look At Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s New Home: Nottingham Cottage

The world fell in love with the royals all over again yesterday when it was announced that Prince Harry and Suits actress Meghan Markle are engaged to be married.

In the official announcement, it was stated that the future bride and groom-to-be will be residing in Nottingham Cottage, a cozy residence on the Kensington Palace grounds.

The spread may be much smaller than Prince William and Kate Middleton’s palace, but it offers plenty of space for the happy couple with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two reception rooms and an enchanting garden.

Prince Harry must already feel at home in the charming abode, dubbed "Nott Cott," since he’s lived there for the past four years. The house has a history of being the setting of major royal milestones, however, as Prince William and Kate also lived there as newlyweds and then chose to retreat there just after Prince George was born.

According to The Telegraph, Kate redecorated when she moved in and it’s likely that Prince Harry’s American fiancée will want to do the same. Top London designers would surely love to put their small space design skills to work on this special project. Or, the couple can always go visit the conveniently located Inaugural Holiday House London, of which NYC&G is the exclusive U.S. media sponsor, this season to find inspiration for their first joint home.
