Jeff Bridges Just Sold His Montecito Estate for $16M
Jeff Bridges’ Montecito estate has found a buyer, but not for quite the price he was expecting. The Oscar-winning actor originally sought nearly $30M for the 9,535-square-foot home and its 19.5-acre property, before lowering the ask to $18.5M and eventually selling it for $15.925M.
Called Villa Santa Lucia, the house was designed by noted Santa Barbara architect Barry Berkus and echoes the architectural style of Tuscany’s famous hilltop villages. Stone columns, bridge beam ceilings, oak floors and arch-top French doors add to the old world elegance. The first level is accessed by a double-height entry hall, which leads to the spacious living and dining areas. Beyond the entertaining spaces lie a grand eat-in family kitchen and a study that leads to a secret hedged garden. The second level houses the master suite along with 3 additional guest suites, while the top floor is occupied by a unique Tower room that could serve as a study or meditation retreat.
