Ina Garten Is Selling a $2M Upper East Side Co-Op
It seems one pied-à-terre per city is enough for Ina Garten. After purchasing a lovely Upper East Side pre-war last summer for $4.65M, the celebrity chef is ready to part with another co-op she owns in the neighborhood. The NY Post reports that Garten and her husband Jeffrey are listing their renovated residence at 71 East 77th Street for $1.97M with Stribling & Associates’ Alexa Lambert, Merrill Curtis and Marc Achilles and that its interiors by designer Daniel Romualdez are inspired by the Parisian aesthetic—not surprising considering the Barefoot Contessa keeps yet another pied-à-terre in the city of light.
Previously a 2-bedroom, this space has been converted into a sprawling 1-bedroom and features a double-height living room, spa-like master bathroom, chef’s kitchen and lofted dining alcove. Details include fabric wallpaper, parquet floors and a wood-burning fireplace. Not a chef? Not a problem: the building is walking distance from some of the city’s best restaurants. How easy is that?
