‘Daily Show’ Host Trevor Noah Drops $20.5M on Bel-Air Bachelor Pad
Trevor Noah is more often the one reporting headlines, not making them, but thanks to a rather splashy real estate purchase and recent news of a break up, his name is being buzzed about. The South African comedian and political commentator, who is best known for hosting the talk/news satire program called The Daily Show, just dropped $20.5 million on a 10,044-square-foot Bel-Air mansion. Since he and his ex-girlfriend, singer Jordyn Taylor, broke up in the summer, this bachelor pad splurge could be the start of a new chapter for Noah.
Modern in style, the sleek house is exactly what people picture when envisioning glamorous Los Angeles living. Along with offering five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, the abode comes complete with luxury spaces like a chef’s kitchen, soaring great room, cigar room, and full home theater. Even staple rooms like the dining room are elevated due to a weeping wall and adjacent butler’s kitchen. And though interior shots of this property are hard to come by, the listing claims a swanky 500-gallon saltwater aquarium is also on the menu.
Upstairs, the 2,200-square-foot master suite was no doubt designed to spoil lucky owners. It boasts a bar, sitting room, dual bathrooms, multiple closets, and city to ocean views from an 800-square-foot terrace. While it may be hard to pry himself from the sumptuous space, Noah has plenty to enjoy outside as well. In the beautifully landscaped backyard, the 62-foot long pool takes living on the edge literally since it slightly hangs over a cliff. Unusual and impressive details like this seem to be what celebrities crave.
Real estate eagle eyes at Yolanda’s Little Black Book first reported the sale. Appropriately, a celebrity real estate team of reality TV stars represented the listing. The Agency’s Maurico Umansky, who can be seen on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and James Harris and David Barnes, both of Million Dollar Listing LA, were the listing agents.
