J.Crew Chairman Mickey Drexler Drops $13.7M on Land Next to His Miami Mansion
J. Crew chairman and former CEO Mickey Drexler just dropped $13.7 million on a half-acre plot of land next to his Miami Beach abode. The savvy executive seemed eager to acquire the property considering he actually paid more for it than for his adjacent 5,800-square-foot house, which closed for $13.15 million in early 2017 according to Curbed. Drexler snagged the 1920s-built waterfront mansion from fellow fashion king, Calvin Klein, and now he may be looking to expand.
The land, located at 4462 North Bay Road, was bought by Bay Road 4462 LLC, which is controlled by the Drexler Family Revocable Trust. Bill Roedy, former CEO of MTV International, was the seller in the deal.
At the same time the fashion executive is collecting Miami properties, he is looking to leave a Hamptons house behind. In November, he re-listed his posh Hamptons home for $17.95 million.
