World Famous Photographer Asks $4.6M for Wainscott Home

Michael O’Neill has photographed scads of influential people throughout his career, from top athletes like Michael Jordan and the US Olympic Volleyball team to stars like Denise Richards and Sean Connery. The skilled artist seems to be looking for new inspiration and a change of scenery as he just listed his 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath Wainscott home for $4.6 million.

Nearby on Wainscott Pond, J.Crew Chairman Mickey Drexler’s beachfront home is asking a staggering $17.95 million, but for buyers who don't mind a longer walk to the shore, the photographer’s sleek house is ideal. Designed by architect Andy Bernheimer, the 4,500-square-foot structure boasts a heated gunite pool, a Sonos music system, and a 730-square-foot studio.

Exquisite materials adorn the modern dwelling with Venetian artist plaster walls on the first floor and European beech floors upstairs. Open living areas and massive glass sliding doors create a California-esque aesthetic while solar panels take the property to the next level.

Lori Barbaria of Douglas Elliman is the listing agent for this luxurious Hamptons getaway. Curbed first reported the story.
