Award-Winning Filmmaker Oliver Stone Picks Up $4.35M Battery Park City Apartment
Oscar-winning filmmaker and New York native Oliver Stone was so impressed with the eco-friendly amenities in Battery Park City’s Riverhouse condominium—and the fact that he'll count Leonardo DiCaprio, who owns 2 penthouses in the building, as a neighbor—that he decided to buy a 24th-floor unit listed for $4.35M. He'll get a few other notable neighbors as well, but maybe not for long: Tyra Banks and How I Met Your Mother star Cobie Smulders are both selling their apartments in the building.
His new home boasts 55’ of floor-to-ceiling windows that capitalize on views of the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor and flood the open living area with light. According to the listing, he’ll be able to “enjoy breakfast in the lovely dining area or lounge in the great room while taking in unparalleled views of the Hudson River.” The apartment’s 3 bedrooms all feature hardwood floors, en-suite bathrooms and oversized south-facing windows.
