The Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation is the result of the work of NAHB Remodelers, in conjunction with the NAHB Research Center, 50+ Housing Council and AARP.
The training program equips graduates with the technical, customer service and marketing skills required to effectively service the growing market for aging in place home modifications.
Three Courses Required:
Marketing and communication Strategies for Aging Accessibility (CAPS I) - Equips participants with the knowledge and tools to effectively market and sell services to the aging in place (AIP) market.
Design Concepts for Livable Homes and Aging in place (CAPS II) - Enables participants to identify common challenges within the home and understand attractive design concepts that create a safe and comfortable environment for clients who want to age in place as well as identify with one or more groups.
Details & Solutions for Livable Homes and Aging In Place (CAPS III) - Builds on CAPS I and CAPS II by introducing design solutions and techniques for professionals whose clients require specialized design and equipment to live and thrive comfortably in their homes.
CAPS I: December 6, 8:30 am-5:00 pm
