Designers Pick for Trade Resources for Kitchen & Bath

Kitchen and bath highlights from a tour of NYC's A&D Building

Bathing Beauty

Cesana has been a mainstay of luxury bathroom design for decades, and I was ecstatic when its first U.S. showroom opened at the A&D. Sleek, minimalist custom shower enclosures are gorgeous from the outside and create an open, light-filled space. Its triumphant new Logic Horizon outdoor shower features a streamlined, frameless walk-in area enveloped by tempered glass for the purest outdoor experience—simply stunning.

Ice Queen

Can’t we all agree that the built-in ice dispenser on our refrigerator door is not a thing of beauty? Thus, imagine my delight upon finding Sub-Zero’s new collection with internal ice and purified water dispenser. The selection of brushed-steel and wood finishes elevate the fridge to furniture, while still setting the standard on brilliant features. Acqua Dolce

I love strolling the A&D when I’m looking for kitchen or bathroom inspiration. Fantini USA’s serene showroom beautifully conjures the brand’s passion for water (above) and its
commitment to thoughtful modern design. The new Dolce collection expresses fluidity
in clean, masculine fittings that will look fresh for generations to come. Brava Italia!

Best In Show

Miele’s dish-care appliances have long been considered the gold standard. A recent visit to its A&D showroom had me sold on the brand’s full suite of home products. The knowledgeable team can walk you through the state-of-the-art technology and performance capabilities, then effortlessly move on to finish options. I was most intrigued by the steam oven series (above), which calibrate heat and moisture to maximize nutrients and
flavor—perfect for my high-performing
clients.

Surface Matter

Paris Ceramics is known for innovative surfaces, and the company’s showroom is a fantastic source for new ideas. The gallery-inspired space was designed with the creative professional in mind, and ample space is provided to experiment with their exotic, artisan-crafted materials. I’m smitten with the new Hammered German Silver floor tile, which transforms from a textured shimmer in the daylight to a glistening moonglow at night. Paris Ceramics Showroom, 7th Floor,
